The Barren Womb – Needs Met by Single Instances of Grace
Some needs require only one answer. The barren womb represents just such longings. In the case of the barren womb, a child would be a full and complete answer. Think of the last time God brought one complete answer in response to a prayer. What you experienced was a single instance of grace!
The Dry Earth – Needs Met Only by a Continual Outpouring of Specified Provision
Some needs are so deep that they require an inundation of blessing. The dry earth speaks to us of needs which can also be met, yet which require more than single instances of grace. Like thirsty ground, some needs require an inundation over extended periods of time.
